We are a lighting company who make design for the modern world. A recalibration of Wrong for HAY, we are now focused exclusively on creating progressive and accessible lighting designs. We continue to work in partnership with HAY.
Based in London, we are driven by good ideas and the energy of the city itself. Led by the creative direction of Sebastian Wrong, we have an inhouse design team who like to play with the possibilities of product. We also work closely with talented group of industrial designers that includes Pierre Charpin, Johan van Hengel, Stefan Diez, Lars Beller Fjetland, Joel Hoff, SmithMatthias and Bertjan Pot.
Our ethos is centred around ideas of the future, technological advancement and idiosyncratic design. We have a focus on delivering products of quality, refinement and a little eccentricity. The new 2016 wrong.london products and collaborations launch at La Pelota, Milan, alongside HAY, during the 55th Salone Internazionale del Mobile.
Sebastian Wrong is a designer, creative director and specialist in modern manufacturing.
His fifteen year career has seen him work with some of the most preeminent designers and companies of the era. His portfolio of work spans furniture, lighting, accessories and gallery projects. He is currently the creative director of the London based lighting manufacturer wrong.london.
Wrong received much critical acclaim for the Spun lamp, which he designed for Flos in 2003, winning the prestigious Red Dot Design Award.
In 2005, he was a founding member of the British manufacturer Established & Sons, and remained the design director of the company until 2012.
In 2012, in collaboration with Danish brand HAY, Wrong founded WH.
Initially conceived as a specialist lighting manufacturer, the guiding principle for WH was to create design of lasting quality at an accessible price. In 2016, WH has evolved into wrong.london, with the company now dedicating itself entirely to lighting manufacture.
Based in London, the company is progressive and independent in spirit, tapping into the idiosyncratic joy of the city in which it is based. Wrong works closely with a talented roster of international designers who like to play with the possibilities of product. Together, they celebrate diversity, eclecticism and good ideas.
